We had planned to head down to Southern California for Christmas this year, but I was physically not up to travelling. It was a hard decision to make, but the right one. It was a quiet Christmas, but no one seemed to mind. We had a lovely quiet day! But let’s back up and talk about the whole Christmas season…

(more…)Dad and Else came up for a visit for 5 days. We didn’t go anywhere or do much of anything, but it was nice to spend time together. My dad brought up the train with him and we had fun setting it up one of the first evenings they were here. I’ve been wanting to do that for many years, and I’m so glad it finally happened!
(more…)It’s hard to believe that Sage is 16! She enjoyed a relaxing day around the house, only leaving to drive her and her sisters to McDonalds to get iced coffees. I cried like crazy when the 4 of them drove off down the street. I was not prepared for that!
About a week after her birthday, she took some friends from school to an Escape Room in Redmond. They had a blast! She’s also planned a slumber party with some friends from church, but that has been postponed because of COVID. 🙁
(more…)This year looked much different than any other year because of COVID. Our district, like many others, is starting of with Remote Learning. We are all glad to be back in a routine and it’s nice that school doesn’t start until 9am each day! I know the girls are very thankful for that!
Even though they are home all day, the girls still got ready for school and we took pictures. I’m ready to help as needed, so, I put myself in a few pictures too!
(more…)Ashley turned 11 right after they got back from California. We celebrated as a family on her birthday, and then she had a sleepover with 2 friends the next weekend. They had so much fun camping out in the backyard and playing outside and in the garage.
