Tom has been traveling quite a bit for work. Last week he was in Portland for 3 days and this week he is gone for 5 1/2 days in Plano Texas. He says things are going well but we miss him!
A few weekends ago, we decided to head down to Portland for the day. We had never been there as a family and I wanted to see where Tom was working down there. We had lunch at Henry’s (which is so much nicer than the one in Seattle). We looked around downtown a bit. We went to the Portland art museum and walked along the river for a bit. It was cold, but the sun was out and it was nice to be outside. We ended the day at the airport. While we couldn’t go see the Henry’s under construction that Tom has been working in because it’s past security, it was still fun to be in the airport and eat dinner there.
I wish I could say the day was great, but we had some big behavior issues come up. It definitely was a day of ups and downs. I think it will be a little while before we do a day trip again as a family. We’ve been working hard on not complaining, obey the first time and not being selfish. I’m not sure there’s been much improvement, but we’ll keep working on it!
