The whole world has changed drastically this past week because of the Coronavirus. We found out last Thursday that schools are closing for at least 6 weeks, so the girls will be home full time starting Monday. As of now, the district does not have a plan for remote learning, but has asked that we patiently give them time as they figure it out.

As a state, we are trying to slow down the spread of the virus by social distancing and not gathering in large groups. The governor also announced that no groups may gather over 250 people. I think this is just the beginning of the craziness.

The girls played with a few friends for the first two days, but then we decided it was best if we just stayed home because I am considered high risk if I get the virus.

The girls did a little school for fun and completed a little missing work. They have been very creative and are finding new ways to keep themselves occupied. Sage and I have gone out driving a few days so she can get some practice in. The weather has been beautiful, so it’s been nice that they could play outside and ride bikes, and not be stuck inside the house.

Tom successfully worked from home and weaned off working from Starbucks as he thinks those will be closing soon. Business is down horribly at all of his restaurants, so he was in a lot of meetings discussing what to do to try and save the business. It’s very stressful.

I am still very weak and struggling to get out bed many days. It makes it hard to motivate the girls when I’m so tired and fatigued.

Here’s a glimpse of our week, Monday – Sunday:

Making a cake
Huge batch of slime make in the Kitchen Aide mixer
Playing with cornstarch and water
Helping out more around the house with chores and housework
Molly and Ashley competing in the “How long can you stay in the bouncy house in the garage” challenge. Molly lasted 24 hours. Ashley lasted 10 hours and decided to sleep in her own bed.
They deflated it for part of the time
This is where Sage spent most of her week. We’re working on that…
Making homemade won-tons
Church at home. We couldn’t get the video from our church to load so we watched one from John MacArthur.
I haven’t seen them snuggle like this in a very long time!
