New jammies for the girls and their dolls
After a busy month, Christmas morning was finally here. We only had a short time with Tom before he had to go to work, but had a relaxing morning full of presents, food and even a nap for Tom. We spent time in the afternoon watching “The Nativity” and talking about Jesus’ birth and the gift He gave us so many years ago when He came to earth as a baby and then what He did for us on the cross. I loved hearing the girls questions and comments during our discussion and the movie as they are all at such different levels of understanding.

- Tablet! (Our sweet Ashley was up a bunch during the night and had a fever all day on Christmas. She was on my lap most of the morning and afternoon.)
That evening we enjoyed time with friends. I am so grateful for the friends who invited us to join them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. What a blessing those invitations were! Definitely not the same without Tom being home, but grateful for wonderful friends.
Tom and I are both grateful we survived the month and are glad this crazy busy season is over (or close to it). It probably sounds horrible to say that, but watching Tom work constantly so others could enjoy their time out with family and friends was pretty horrible. We are very much looking forward to having him home more in January!
