It was so nice to go out on a date Saturday night. We drove up to Seattle and restaurant hopped (Ray’s Boathouse, Kickin’ Boots and the El Camion Taco Truck). We also enjoyed the beautiful (but cold) view of the sunset at Golden Gardens and then the Seattle skyline from Kerry Park.

The week of Valentine’s Day was busy. I was able to go to all 3 parties for the girls in their classroom and they had so much fun making valentines for their friends and classmates.
Tom was off for the first time on Valentine’s Day, so we made a nice dinner together that evening.

During mid-winter break, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and found some last minute great deals for a 3 day trip up to northern Washington. Ever since we moved here, Tom has wanted to go into the Olympic National Park. Since the girls did so well on our drive to Mt. Rainier, we decided to finally do it!
We’ve never been one of the front cars on the ferry. It was fun to watch it pull up to the dock!
Right after the ferry, we came to this cute little town, Port Gamble.
The weather has been beautiful lately. So one Sunday after church last month, we decided to head down to Mt. Rainier. The girls were excited about it, and even though we knew it could be a nightmare in the car, we decided to go anyways!
The girls actually did really well in the car (AMAZING) . . . so well, that we decided to do a short trip to the Olympic Nation Park a few weeks later. (more…)
The weather has been amazing here . . . lots of sun and even weather in the mid 60’s! The girls have been enjoying playing outside and riding bikes and scooters.
This weekend, Tom and I spent a lot of time in the garage reorganizing and getting bikes up off the ground and hanging on the wall. It’s so nice to be able to move around in there again!
Molly had a high fever all weekend and is home from school again today. Her fever is down, but she still feels pretty horrible and is coughing a lot. (more…)
This year, Sage signed up to participate in AWANA Bible Quizzing. It was very last minute and she only had a few weeks to prepare, but she worked hard here at home and with a friend to get ready.
Last Saturday, we drove to a church in Burien for the Quizzing. It was a long morning to sit there, but it was fun to watch her and her team compete. They did a great job! They came in last place (she was a little disappointed), but I am so proud of her for trying! If she decides to do it again next year, we have a much better idea of how to prepare for it. 🙂 (more…)
