Ashley’s kindergarten class went on a field trip to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. The weather in April can be hit or miss, but the day we went, it was sunny! Yay!
I had a group of 3 girls and we walked all around the zoo with a few other moms and their groups.

We spent most of our time in the aquarium as the kids loved the animals in there.

For Tom’s birthday last September, my gift to him was a full day date without the kids. I was finally able to make that happen and my friend Dorthy took the girls after school for us!
We headed up to Vancouver, Canada for the day. We haven’t been up to Canada since we moved here and it was a bit crazy to do it in one day, but is was so much fun. It was horrible, rainy weather that day, but we made the best of it!
We drove into a town, about 20 minutes south of Vancouver and took the train the rest of the way. (more…)

While things have been going much better around the house, we still have some days that are really tough. We decided that instead of just hanging out at home with nothing planned on a dreary Sunday afternoon, to plan a family date. I planned a few activities and made clues for the girls to figure out what we were going to do.

The day before Easter, we enjoyed some time around the house coloring eggs. Apparently they didn’t like my natural Easter egg dying attempt because this year Sage asked me just to buy the dye in a box. So I splurged on a $1.29 box of dye. Lol. We also didn’t hard boil any eggs this year. We only dyed raw ones. 🙂

One of the things I have always wanted to do since we moved up here was to go see the tulips. Sunday was a bit rainy, but we managed to get out to see the tulips without getting too wet. They were beautiful!
