There are just 2 days left of Summer vacation. It’s hard to believe it’s already over!
I put together pictures from the summer into a presentation for the girls to show them on Monday (the last day of summer vacation). It wasn’t an easy summer for me as a parent, but I think they will look back on it with lots of great memories!
4 days, 3 nights . . . our vacation for the summer.
The girls REALLY wanted to go camping, but since we planned this a bit last minute, there were not many campsites available, not to mention the burn ban which means no campfire. 🙁
We opted for a hotel (much more relaxing!!) in Leavenworth.
The first day was pretty horrible, but fortunately, the last 3 were wonderful and made up for it!

20 years!! CRAZY!
Tom was able to get off early on our anniversary so we could drive in to Seattle together for dinner. We had reservations at Canalis.
With the exception of getting to the restaurant (crazy traffic, trying to access the restaurant on one way streets with tons of traffic, crossing a very busy street as pedestrians during rush hour – ugh!), the evening was perfect.
That’s 20 years for those of us that can’t do the math in our heads.
20 YEARS!!
Wow!
As I sit here in a quiet home (I’m writing this on the 14th with a husband in another state and 7 little girls chatting away in the tent outside after camping in the backyard last night), I am overwhelmed to think that tomorrow is our 20th anniversary.
On Saturday, the girls were invited to go ice skating for a birthday party. They had never been before and absolutely loved it. It took them a while to get comfortable, but the little PVC pipe walkers really helped the younger 2. Sage was too tall, so she was stuck with the wall for stability. (more…)
We’ve been enjoying the lake this year (although not as much as I thought we would since the girls are enjoying playing outside in the yard with neighbors).
