Tom had 1 week off before he started his new job, so we headed up to Vancouver, BC for 4 days. We rented a condo through Air B&B. It was right in downtown and had an amazing view. We had access to a pool and fitness room as well, which was really nice!
On our way up, we stopped in Fairhaven, WA. We just love it there!
We celebrated Sage’s 12th birthday with a GLOW party with her friends. She had fun planning it and decorating for it.
The frosting didn’t glow as much as we had hoped on the cake, but it was still yummy!
Wow! What a crazy week it has been. We planned and hosted a very fun Halloween Party for 19 kids on Sunday night. Then, of course on Halloween, we went out trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. And now we are prepping for Sage’s birthday party on Saturday night. No wonder I’m tired!! (more…)
A few weeks ago, I went with Ashley’s class to the Mary Olson Farm in Auburn. The kids learned about the farm and got a glimpse of what life was like when people lived there and worked the farm.
Of course it rained the ENTIRE TIME and was very muddy. We were very thankful for our rain boots!! (more…)
We’re excited to be doing some work around the house. We’ve lived here 6 years now and there are just some things that need to be fixed. We had a handyman come and give us a quote, but it was the cost of a trip to Disney World. Sooooo…even though neither of us are good at fixing things, we are going to give it a try.
We started off easy with little things like a new toilet seat, fixing a curtain rod, installing new blinds, adding a motion sensor battery light to the pantry…all little things, but things that make such a big difference in daily life. (I was home A LOT last year and really got to know our house!!) We also bought and assembled some new furniture. (more…)
