Sport Stacking Competition

Molly and Ashley competed in Sport Stacking competition again this year.  Sage had some commitments with Shrek, so Tom stayed home with her and Ashley, Molly and I drove down to Portland and spent the night there.

The girls competed in the individual  3-3-3, 3-6-3 and the cycle.  They also competed on a relay team and in a doubles team. They each came home with a couple medals and were very excited! (more…)

Winter Camp

After visiting Lakeside Bible Camp over the summer, Molly really wanted to go to Winter Camp.  She was counting down the days and was so excited!

Camp was from Friday night through Sunday afternoon, which was a great amount of time for her first time away at camp.  Ashley and I  drover her over and I picked her up.

She had so much fun and loved making friends with her cabin leaders and the other kids in her cabin.

Molly’s 9th Birthday

I can’t believe Molly is 9 year’s old!  Time is going by so fast!!

She has such a great imagination and just loves to play!  She has a few close friends and loves playing with Ashley.  She loves to sing and is enjoying playing the piano.

She was so excited to get a little 2 man tent, sleeping bag and lantern so she could camp in the house!

For her birthday, she took a few friends to the Point Defiance Zoo.  We had lunch and dessert (rice pudding and cupcakes) at home and then headed to the zoo.  It was cold, but so much fun! (more…)

Drill Team Uniforms

Ever since we got back from California, I’ve been working on organizing all our keepsakes and digitizing them. It’s a big project, but the end is in sight and Tom and I are so happy to have everything at our fingertips! I can’t wait to show the girls when I’m done!

One of the bins I went through were some of my High School Drill Team uniforms and Tom’s football jersey. The girls had so much fun trying them on and now instead of being in the attic, I have these great pictures and my drill team uniforms are now part of their dress up clothes. They fit Sage pretty well, although I know I was taller than her when I wore them. Sigh!

Just to share about how amazing it is to have things digitized…as I was working on this post, I thought it would be fun to not only show the pictures of the girls in the uniforms, but also Tom and I.  So instead of having to go dig out the scrapbook and take a picture, I just opened the pdf of the scrapbook on my computer, cropped it and saved it as a jpg and inserted it into the blog post!  I AM SO EXCITED!!!! Disneyland and California Adventure

Our big gift to the girls for Christmas (from us and my Dad) was two days at Disneyland and California Adventure.  It was open from 8 am ’til midnight both days and we made the most out of the time!

One special treat we didn’t expect, was that Tom and I were able to go to Disneyland on Monday night for 4 hours by ourselves.  It was so much fun!!  It was a long day, since we were in San Diego also, but it was totally worth it!

Date night!!

Beautiful view of main street

The castle was SO BEAUTIFUL!!

Trip to California

As I type this, it’s January 2nd and our vacation to CA is coming to a close.  It’s been a VERY BUSY 2 weeks.  We will go home tired, but with so many fun memories of family!

Pictures say it best, so here is a glimpse of our 2 week trip, minus Disneyland and CA Adventure, because they deserve a post of their own!

As Ashley said, “It’s finally our turn to get on a plane!”

On the plane and ready to go!

Late night snack on the way home from the air port. I wish In-N-Out would come up to Washington!
