Awana Awards Ceremony

It’s hard to believe that AWANA is already over for the year!!

Molly finished her first year of T&T and completed her book!  Woohoo! (more…)

Celebration of Learning

Celebration of Learning (or what I know of as Open House) was last week for Molly and Ashley.  The school is always SO CROWDED on this night, but there were a few different things.

First, because the current buildings are being torn down this summer, the kids and parents got to write on a memory wall with sharpie!

How fun to write with a Sharpie on the wall of your school!!

Molly was chosen by her class to be on the Student Leadership Team, so she had to be there early to help pass out brochures to families as they arrived.

The girls enjoyed showing us their work and giving us a tour of their classrooms.  (Sage was with us for part of the time, but was also visiting previous teachers with Elizabeth.) (more…)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  It was so nice to have Tom home on Easter.  I am so thankful that his company doesn’t serve brunch!  Woohoo!!

The weeks leading up to Easter, we got out the Resurrection eggs and read the passages in the Bible that went with each egg.  Tom was home one even for this and the girls had a lot of questions.  It was a great discussion for our family.  We ended our time that night looking at pictures from Tom’s trip to Israel.  The girls loved that!

Grandma and Grandpa sent up some fun Easter gifts. Yay for new flip flops!

On Saturday, we walked down to the lake for the annual Easter Egg hunt.  It was sunny and the girls enjoyed seeing friends (and getting candy of course).  (Somehow I missed getting a picture of Sage, but she was there, running for eggs as well!) (more…)

Time for a Facial

Ever since Sage used super oily makeup for her SHREK performances, she been having trouble breaking out.  I ahd been thinking about taking her to see Christina to get a mini facial and to talk about basic skin care, so spring break was a good time to do that.

We dropped Molly and Ashley off at a friend’s house for the afternoon and headed up for her appointment.  As I had my eyebrows and lip waxed, we chatted a bit about skin care.  Then I sat out in the waiting room and Sage enjoyed a facial and learned a little more about how to best take care of her skin as her hormones are changing. Great Wolf Lodge – Family of 8

The girls have been asking to go to the Great Wolf Lodge for a long time.  But every time I looked, the prices were so high!  I finally found a Groupon for a great deal and got it!  The Groupon was for a suite that could sleep 8 people and included water park wristbands for 8 at no extra cost!  So Tom and I let the girls each bring a friend.

Car selfie – ready for some fun!!
