What a fun and crazy month December was!

Technically this was not in December, but the start of the Christmas season, so we’ll start here! The girls got up super early with me and we went Black Friday Shopping for the first time all together. We had so much fun! I’m sure this will be a yearly tradition!

Decorating the tree with friends was fun. We ended up moving this tree to the Living Room and getting a white tree for this room.

I can’t believe we have a 13 year old! Sage has been planning her party, for forever. (Big surprise!)

We let her open her gifts from Papa before school because I knew she would want to wear one of her new shirts to school that day.

The Middle Schools’ fall play this year was A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was adapted for the school by Sage’s drama teacher. Sage auditioned in September and got the part of a fairy. As the practices were concluding, she decided she definitely prefers musicals as she missed the singing and dancing. 🙂

“Today is the best day that God made for us. It’s snowing AND I’m being baptized!” Those were Molly’s thoughts as we were driving to church on Sunday morning.
I admit, I had to hold back tears as she was being baptized. 2 years ago, I wondered if God would allow me to see milestones in my children’s lives, and yesterday He did. I am so thankful! (more…)

We have been working hard on Halloween costumes the past few weeks.
On Friday night, the princess, the jelly fish and I went to the school Harvest Party. In past years, the harvest party has been so crowded and the girls even skipped a few years becuase of that. However, this year we are in our new building and the PTSA was able to use not only the cafeteria and gym, but the hallways and classrooms.
The kids were able to trick-or-treat to a few classroom doors and enjoyed playing games and spending time with friends. We bought 6 raffle tickets and Molly won a cook Sonicare Electronic Toothbrush which she was very excited about! (more…)
