I’m so thankful to be healthy enough to be able to volunteer in the classroom and to go on field trips. Molly’s class went to the bog this year. I find the bog fascinating and I’m so glad I was able to go. Molly and Janessa were both in my group and both on the way there and back, they sang 99 bottle of root bear on the wall….they got down to 10 on the way there and on the way back they made it all the way to zero. Thank goodness the bus is loud and they sang softly so they didn’t drive anyone crazy!! (more…)

We had shows 3 weekends in a row! The last show was “Jonah’s Druthers” by the Joyful Noise Children’s Choir at church.Sage was originally going to be in the Joyful Noise Musical, but it was just too much. So this performance was just Molly and Ashley. They worked on Jonah’s Druthers since January, and all their hard work showed when it was time for the musical. They did a great job and I loved the conversations we had in the car about the difference between performing at school and church and how this musical was so important as it shared the Gospel with the audience! Molly and Ashley had the opportunity to be in a Musical zero hour class this winter and spring. They worked for about 16 hours to put together Seussical Jr. After auditions, Molly was cast as Mayzie and Ashley was cast as a Yellow Bird Girl. They were both so excited and worked hard on their parts to be ready for the show. We had fun making their costumes as well!! (more…)

This year, the middle schools had a new after school drama director, choreographer and dance coach. Sage’s experience in Shrek last year was wonderful and she was excited to be in another school musical. They chose The Wizard of Oz and she was cast as an Ozian and also in the Optimistic Chorus (a quartet of 4 girls).

We flew to CA for Spring Break so we could go on a cruise to Mexico. We’re so glad we could take a few extra days to see family!
Our flight left late, and we were very happy to finally be able to board!
