Spring Break in CA

We flew to CA for Spring Break so we could go on a cruise to Mexico.  We’re so glad we could take a few extra days to see family!

Our flight left late, and we were very happy to finally be able to board!

Celebrating Report Cards

Friday was an exciting day.  Molly and Ashley brought home their report cards and they both did great!  The most exciting part was finding out that Ashley tested out of RAP (Reading Assistance Program).  I have seen a lot of growth this past trimester and am excited that she’s doing so much better. Keeping Busy Around the House

I am really enjoying my full time job of taking care of our home and family.  When I stopped teaching after Sage was born, I thought for sure I would want to go back to teaching after Ashley was in school full time.  I’m so thankful that Tom’s job allows me to stay home full time, as there is so much going on with our family of 5.

When I was home for a year in active cancer treatment, I noticed every little part of our home that needed repair, saw so many things that could be organized and noticed many things that we had that we never used.  As I recovered and had more energy, I’ve put some routines in place and have slowly completed home projects (with Tom’s help), digitized all our files and keepsakes, collected serial numbers for valuables and organized every room and closet of our home.  It’s nice to be on the tail end of all that and just maintain things.

Family Date 4 of 12

We are all really enjoying our family dates each month!  This month, we went and saw the musical “Anything Goes” up at the University of Washington.  It was sooooooo good.  We had never seen anything by their drama department and were impressed.  The theater was small and we were able to sit in the front row.  It was such a different experience being so close to the actors!   (more…)
