For mid-winter break, we flew down to California and boarded the Carnival Panorama (a new ship in the Carnival fleet). The ship was AMAZING! Tom and I were able to be in a room next door to the girls, which was nice. It was very different than any other cruise we have done as I was dealing with major side effects from radiation. I couldn’t eat anything, only drink Ensure and I was on very heavy pain meds. I had to get fluids twice down in the infirmary. But even with all that going on, I’m glad we went. Tom said the food was by far the best of any ship we have ever been on. The shows were great. The girls had a great time and enjoyed hanging out with friends a lot!
When we found out I needed to have radiation again, we really struggled with what to do about the cruise. We decided that if I could physically get on the plane, I would go. If I’m going to be miserable, I might as well be miserable on a beautiful cruise ship with my family!
We didn’t take that many pictures, but this was one professional one that turned out OK.
Love this one of Molly. She and Tom got off in all 3 ports, just the two of them. Sage got off with Olivia and her family and Ashley stayed with me on the ship,.

Tom was amazing – taking care of me, spending time with the girls, keeping track of the girls….all while trying to relax and enjoy a break from work!
