Saturday morning, April 7th, we boarded the Carnival Splendor in Long Beach.

All aboard!!

The cruise terminal was inside where the Spruce Goose used to be. It was so fun to be close to Queen Mary as we boarded and sailed away!

Let the cruise begin!

Sailing away!

Checking out the huge chess game board as we explored the ship!

Our first full day was at sea. The girls enjoyed the splash park and arcade. Tom enjoyed a nap. I enjoyed reading and playing a card game on the computer. Sage hung out with some new friends she made in Circle C.

Enjoying the arcade

A quick game of Connect 4 as we waited to go to dinner

Our first port was Cabo San Lucas.

On the tender, headed to the shore

Exploring one of the many beautiful resorts in Cabo. This was our favorite place when Tom and I visited here on our last cruise.

There were signs everywhere that said to stay out of the water, as it’s really dangerous by the resorts. But it was so beautiful to walk along the shore!

Such a beautiful view from the ship (and one of the many ice cream cones that we consumed on the ship).

Sailing away

Our next port was Mazatlan. This ended up being our favorite port! Tom got a coconut to drink as we were walking around.

One of the streets we walked down was so beautiful!

This is inside a market we found

Enjoying the view of the ocean!

Another photo shoot…

Loving the sun!

We found a cute little hotel that had a beautiful restaurant and we sat down and enjoyed some tacos.

These are quesadillas and were SO GOOD!

Heading back to the ship

Molly and I enjoyed the shows by the dining room staff. One night, she got to get up and dance with them!

Sunset over the water

Post sunset selfie

The shows each night were amazing! We loved going each night!

Molly and Ashley loved playing mini golf on the ship!

It was pretty cold and windy up there sometimes, but that didn’t stop us!

The ship was so beautiful at night!

Tom was up earlier than us every morning. This is a sunrise he took the morning we were in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta photo fun

Another one…

We found the hanging colored flags that made it look like the Mexico Sage was expecting.

Another one of our favorite places that Tom and I found on our last trip. A beautiful park!

An amazing tree Ashley found

These stairs from the park led us up to a beautiful neighborhood.

The stairs had a great view!

I loved these hanging umbrellas.

While Sage, Molly and I were in a clothing store, Tom and Ashley grabbed a taco and a coke at the little restaurant next door.

We enjoyed the ports, but were excited to have two days on the ship next!
Each afternoon when we came back to our room, our room steward Anna had a new towel animal on our bed. They were so cute!

Sailing away from our last port!

Thursday night was the second formal night in the dining room.

I think having dinner together as a family each night was my favorite part of the cruise. Plus, I love changing for dinner!(And not having to do dishes or cook!)

On of the wait staff with Ashley

Molly and I were the only ones that hung around for the show in the dining room.

Yep.,,..,.

And another one

Music playing, napkins waving….It’sSHHHHHHHOW Time!

Such a fun way to end dinner!

Thursday was a sea day and we stayed up really late! While walking around the ship really late, we found a Mexican buffet, complete with ice sculpture…

A melon head….

And of course food. All the food on the cruise was really good!

Our last day at sea was really rough. Here’s a screenshot of our conversation about it. 🙂

We went to a towel folding class Friday morning.

Even Sage joined us!

Of course Tom’s turned out the best.

Molly loved it and did a great job. (Ashley decided to skip it and go to the kid’s club.)

Some towel animals lounging by the pool

The center of the ship with the glass elevators was beautiful.

Molly, Ashley and I each put our name in a balloon for the balloon drop on the last night.

On our way home. Boohoo!
We took a lot of pictures on the cruise, and bought 10 of them. They turned out beautiful!
