After the last day of school’s ice cream party and a little time playing with friends, we headed up to Seattle, picked up Tom from work, and headed to Whidbey Island for the weekend. We ended up driving up to Deception Pass and going across that way as the wait for the ferry was really, really long!!
We stayed at a cottage I found on Air Bnb. The area and view were beautiful.
I loved looking out the windows at all the surrounding land!
We spent time exploring the waterfront after breakfast Saturday morning.
We found a wonderful Chinese restaurant to eat at for lunch!
The girls enjoyed seeing bunnies all over.
I planned ahead and bought a kite for our time at Fort Casey. It was a lot of fun flying it…until Molly fell 8 feet! I didn’t see it happen, I just heard screaming. I ran over to find her on the ground screaming and crying. It really scared us. She is doing fine, just a bit sore. Thank you God for protecting her!
