As always, we did a few things to get ready for Easter. We opened a Resurrection Egg each morning and learned about the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ during the month of March. Then last weekend, we dyed eggs, made egg salad for lunch afterwards and then made cookies. Instead of frosting the cookies this year, we painted them with egg yolk, colored with food coloring (before cooking them). They were different and the girls loved painting them.
I like your Resurrection Egg idea! We’re thinking through what kinds of traditions we can start that will focus the holidays back on Christ so I’ll have to pick your brain.
