4 days, 3 nights . . . our vacation for the summer.
The girls REALLY wanted to go camping, but since we planned this a bit last minute, there were not many campsites available, not to mention the burn ban which means no campfire. 🙁
We opted for a hotel (much more relaxing!!) in Leavenworth.
The first day was pretty horrible, but fortunately, the last 3 were wonderful and made up for it!
Day 1 – Drive, Cashmere, Leavenworth
Day 2 – Tubing on the Wenatchee river in Leavenworth
I had made us reservations to float down the river our second day. This was my favorite part of the trip. We stopped along the way in a couple places to play in the river and have some snacks. It was much more fun that I expected. Everyone loved it and I can’t wait to do it again!! Unfortunately, we have no pictures as we didn’t want to lose our phones in the river. (Probably a good call since at one point, we all floated into a huge rock and Tom flipped out of his tube and lost his sunglasses.)

Hanging out in the hotel room playing with the camera on Tom’s new work computer. I was taking a shower and didn’t see all this happening. 🙂
Day 3: Rocky Reach Dam, Wenatchee, Leavenworth

8 pm performance of Into the Woods at the outdoor theater in Leavenworth. Not as good as the Sound of Music, but still fun to experience.
Day 4 – Slide Waters in Lake Chelan
We had heard from so many people that Slide Waters was an amazing water park, so we drove an extra hour to try it out for the day. It was amazing. Definitely the best water park I have ever been too. The grounds are beautiful and very clean. The staff was really nice and the park was a great size – we could always find each other after splitting up.
Ashley was scared to do much, so finally Tom just picked her up and went down a slide with her (crying). After doing this twice, she was fine. We couldn’t get her to go on the two slides where you sat in tubes, but she went on most of the others and loved them. By the end, she was even doing them by herself!
