Another last minute trip (We seem to be getting good at those) but this time we headed down to Portland for the night.
We stayed at the Red Lion on Jantzen Beach and enjoyed a lot of time in the pool and spa. It was a bit chilly out, but the both were heated, so it didn’t matter.
Breakfast was included with our hotel room (amazing deal) and we had a nice meal overlooking the river.
Opening the hotel room door is a VERY big deal when you are 5, 7 and 10. 🙂
We went out to eat at Southland Kitchen (one of Tom’s restaurants) and looked around that cute area of town. We also enjoyed some amazing ice cream at Salt and Straw.
I love BBQ food!
We went to see the movie Tomorrowland and also browsed around Powell’s books for a bit before heading home. It was a fast trip, but a nice time away as a family. We were home in time for dinner and Tom ran to the store to get everything to make us In-N-Out burgers. 🙂 We miss those!
